Kerrigan Plumbing has tested and certified 726 backflow devices in 2011. Repairs were included in some of them. We have four plumbers who are certified and licensed by the Illinois EPA as required by law. As for residential applications (especially lawn sprinkler systems), it is very critical (and per code) that a RPZ backflow preventer is installed. If water backflows into the home’s water system, drinking water will be contaminated. Contaminates include fertilizers and animal feces.
